The LeMoyne-Owen CCDC's 'Business Development Institute' is a ten-week, 30 class hours business development program. This intensive business development 'boot camp' is designed to teach entrepreneurial skills to prospective, yet disadvantaged entrepreneurs. Each participant acquires the knowledge necessary to produce a marketable business plan which is essential to any start of business. This program also includes lectures, hands-on computer training, interviews, multimedia presentations, videotaping, guest speakers and site visits. Program participants must attend 80% of the sessions in order to receive a Certificate of Completion. Track I is geared towards prospective and existing entrepreneurs seeking to acquire general business skills, while Track II is geared towards existing entrepreneurs with specific technical assistance needs.
