It is with great pleasure that LeMoyne-Owen College Community Development Corporation welcomes you to its premier jobs training program. Since 2001 LOCCDC has been involve in Workforce Development, with our FUTURES Construction Trades training program that was instrumental in assisting Beazer Homes with its City of Memphis' first HOPE VI project. FUTURES was LOCCDC's vision for training youth, unemployed , underemployed, ex-offenders and women in non-traditional jobs for minorities, women and others seeking to make a change in life.

Since that time we have learned a lot and have grown exponential in our efforts to create urban community economic development through, what we feel is the only way "...a trained skilled workforce..." To that end we have worked collaboratively with the local WEA Boards, Youth Opportunities Memphis, The City of Memphis, The Towne of Tuchla, Mississippi, CDHO's, Section 3 workers and Tennessee Construction to create opportunities which we all now realized are at the nexus of creating economic
opportunities for the communities we all serve.

Career Express - The Jobs Training Fast Lane, is yet another opportunity to train men and women, in the highways construction industry, one that is fast paced, fast growing and lacking in the very people we are trying to train. Career Express is an 18 month intensive workforce training program that will prepare our clients to actively enter the highway construction field. 16 weeks of classroom assessment and training, job placement and follow up will lead to individuals who are ready to enter the world of road building, construction, and highway maintenance and other levels of work within the industry. LOCCDC and our partners are convinced that with proper training and guidance we can achieve success in making our clients ready for the world of work.

Tennessee Department of Transportation, LeMoyne-Owen College, Tennessee Construction and LOCCDC have partnered to create this unique opportunity. As we service the entire state from Knoxville, Chattanooga, Nashville and to the Jackson Region we seek other partners that will assist us as we ensure that "All Tennesseean Work..."
